Beginning on Oct. 16 there's a new show on TV called "Graves". It starts Nick Nolte, older but not too much the worse for wear as a former U.S. President who's running again. (I think) The character is a composite, with a little Reagan, and a lot LBJ, plus a smidgen of Clinton, and was carefully created to straddle both political parties. He's a hard-drinking, swearing, ornery old SOB.
Here's a trailer:

I have a lot of respect for Nick Nolte. He put his all into just about every movie he's ever made. Just look at this list:
The Prince of Tides
48 Hrs.
Cape Fear
The Deep
Down and Out in Beverly Hills
Cannery Row
Tropic Thunder
Rich Man, Poor Man
77 movies in all.

Down and Out in BH was great, as was Tropic Thunder. 48 Hours too.

I liked him in A Walk in the Woods, with Robert Redford. I enjoy watching actors who play in roles that match their actual ages.
