I really thought I'd be on fire more than this as an adult....

With the amount of gin you supposedly drink you would not be "on Fire" you'd be an explosion.

We were taught as kids to duck and cover in case of a nuclear attack, like that was going to work. I guess it just made it easier to kiss your ass good-bye...........
What about quicksand? Thought I'd be running into that shit on a daily basis.

I did some work in a chemical plant that made phosgene gas as part of the manufacturing process. They gave everybody little badges that had a spot on them that would turn color if you were exposed. I never understood that. Say you look down, and your badge turned color. You had about enough time left to watch yourself cough up your insides and die. How were those badges helping anyone?

Not to mention all the Nevada tests, back in the day. It took us a while to figure out, that shit was bad for everyone.
