I just saw it. Haven't seen it with my own eyes in YEARS. I've had to go by feel and faith!

I know it's a small thing (HEY-O!), but I can't express how pleased I was to see it...

I weigh 80lbs less than I did last year, but I can only claim the effort for 60 of it.

A few years ago I too dropped 80 pounds. 305 to 225. I've since found 8 of those pounds. :slap::balls:

.....now for the next 80 right? :yesnod:

After dumping the damn Lyrica prescribed for me for foot tremors I'm losing again. Damn stuff made me gain 50lbs over the space of about a year. lost 20 of that so far, but I have to drop more for the sake of my knees....:(...

Yeah, I was having nerve pain associated with what was removed and they wanted to put me on the Lyrica. I read the side effects list, "sudden personality changes, psychotic behavior, hallucinations" and was all like "finally, something fun comes out of all this"... then I read "weight gain" and was like "f*ck that noise, I'm ok just hurtin'."

Thankfully, it turned out the 'nerve pain' was actually a relapse, my third. I say thankfully, because we caught it super early. It did require a 7th surgery, but this was a tiny, outpatient deal. Doc popped my balloon and we go on...

I'm preparing now for yet another surgery, and I'll get an instant weight loss from this one too. They'll be removing another estimated 5 to 7 lbs of my thigh. Hopefully after that the relapses will cease.

I don't think I like your diet.....:(
Good luck with the surgery and let's hope it's the last one. :yesnod:

Yeah I prefer losing it the right way too, even if it is slower. I am looking forward to this one, as it means I'll be able to walk correctly and it's hoped my back, knees and hips will get some relief from having to compensate for the affected area. I'll be able to get on a bicycle, or treadmill too, which will enhance my ability to exercise and hopefully my rate of reduction will improve.

Keep it up; never easy, but it's good for you. :seasix: Extra weight just seems to complicate many of the other maladies we can get stuck with.

A little over a year ago, I lost somewhere between 45-50 lbs. This is the longest I've kept weight off in my adult life; I hope it continues, since I feel a lot better.

I'm 208 now, trying to get restarted & move down to 190. (I'm 6' 2", maybe 6' 2-1/2" on a good day) Rumor has it that I may need to give up beer, Scotch, wine, etc. for the duration. We'll see.

I'm on a mission to lose weight as well.... someone needs to draw me a better map :)

At 5'9" and 43YO, I need 2900 calories to just be still and breathe. Doc asked me to go 1800cal/day, but I'm on 1500 calories/day right now, by my own choice, because I'm not hungry at this level. My body is taking 1400 calories, plus whatever I burn moving over the day, out of my ass... literally.

I'm not eating diet food. I see no point in it. I cut out sweets, I've slashed my intake of all carbs, but not eliminated it. Portion control is the biggest thing. My typical day is Egg & Ham & Cheese on wheat toast (350cal), midday meal is my largest, typically 700 to 800cal. For that number I can have a 5oz filet with 1cup of mashies, nice big pile of green beans and a huge side salad as an example. Evening meal is usually a sammich, ham or chicken on wheat toast with a film of mayo and a slice of cheese for 300cal. That leave me ~200cal for a glass of milk, or a couple handfuls of nuts as a snack.

I'm trying to flip my intake, load up earlier in the day. My doctor suggested it this way: In the morning eat like a king, in the afternoon, eat like a prince, and in the evening eat like a pauper. By eating a big dinner at the end of the day, you're loading up your body with fuel, and then going to bed, giving your body nothing to do with that fuel, except build you some bulge.

My exercise right now consists of chair dancing, tree dancing (feet planted) and I'm fapping 4 times a day and calling it "cardio". I use the stairs to do pushups, because once I'm down on the ground, I can't get back up myself. I'm desperate to get out on my skateboard, or my bicycle, but right now that's just not possible, given the toddler-sized growth hanging off my leg.

I don't weigh until I see my doctor, once a month. I got sick and tired of my house scale saying I lost 5lbs and the doctor's scale telling me I ain't lost shit that month. I'm just honest with myself. Am I eating right? Am I doing my exercises? Then I'll lose weight this month.

I just decided that, for this to work for me, I had to build the new lifestyle myself. I couldn't read a plan in a book, or hear it in a Jenny Craig class, I had to sit myself down, decide what I wanted out of life and make the common sense, no-brainer changes. Eat like a grown up, not a 6 year old left alone at Wonka's place, do my James Brown impression three or four times weekly (Get Up Offa Dat Thing, Dance And You'll Feel Better), and the fat just melts away...

Now, If I could just stop hurting...
