Question. I've cut 2 and 3 inch slabs out of a log (oak) about the size of the one pictured in Jeff's post, and set them aside in a dry place to dry out. Wanted them just for making end tables, but they always split. Is there a particular way I could cure them to keep that from happening?
Coat the ends with Anchorseal.
