Trump DID soften his position. First it was the position most of his supporters actually agree with, which is, stop wasting money we don't have to kill people overseas. That all creates blowback, especially now with our open borders.

Lately, he seems to have given up on the demand that we stop the flood of illegals, and use that as leverage on this massive wasteful foreign giveaway. His great idea now is we call a portion of those billions forgivable loans. Bullshit.

Why can't the Ukraine, Israel, and Taiwan borrow their own damned money? I'm sure Blackrock would be glad to 'invest' in those countries. Trump is wrong here, and it's discouraging.

The correct answer is, stop chasing bad money with good money. Sunk cost fallacy.
