"you have to learn the basics"
good advice for any field of endeavor. i was traveling thru an airport long, long ago, looking at a selection of CDs of music, and turned to my side and saw this young man with a guitar over his back, also looking at the CDs. we chatted, and he expressed that he wished he was as good as some of the folks on CD. Johnny Cash and others. i noted that they weren't born playing their guitars, they had to learn and practice. always wonder what became of that guy. me? i tried guitar years ago, nope, not my field of endeavor.
