The only caution that Medtronic told me was don't keep a cell phone in the left chest pocket. They said to tell TSA, but that the scans should not affect it. They even claim it's EMP proof.

disclaimer: check with the manufacturer of the one you have.
I have a pair of Titanium Hips. I don't go through the airports much anymore but in and out of Federal Buildings is a pita

I've had a pacemaker (no defib) since 2019. No problems w/the surgery or after effects.
Several return trips to my Cardiac Electrophysiologist for Afib, Cardioversion, Ablation, Watchman implant, additional exams/tests to determine if certain drugs can be used.
Heart failure is not a fun time. . . more pills, more pills, more pills.

Avoid devices that interfere with pacemakers
Cell phones. ...
Electronic cigarettes.
Headphones. ...
Household appliances, such as microwave ovens, major appliances, electric blankets, and heating pads are usually safe if they are working properly.
Metal detectors, such as those used for airport security.
All bullshit. None of those interfere with a pacemaker...at least not mine. It was made by Boston Scientific. The only precaution I was given is MRI.
