Here in Red River last year on Memorial Day weekend, is traditionally a bike ride in with all to include the gangs. 3 killed and several injured.

Cancelled this year and changed to a family friendly event. Usually, police are not even seen much here but State Police will be thick escorting any bikers immediately out of town

I think the IQ here is generally too high. Only about 5% of outlaw bikers have an IQ of 100 or better, from what I've seen and read and experienced in 55 years. I've known a couple of Hell's Angels. In spite of all the 'help the community toys for tots' BS, it's all about grown men acting like 3rd grade bullies on the schoolyard. It's about intimidation, getting laid, and getting high. And taking no orders from anybody. A young man's game, although you see a lot of fat, gray old buzzards in the scene these days. IMO, like any gang members, they are cowards. They only cause trouble or intimidate in packs.

Naw, they leave me alone and I leave them alone. Everyone stays happy

Rode with the Valkyrie Owners Association club a few times. Big yearly rendezvous, attended a few in surrounding states (Wisconsin/Ohio). Did group rides with hundreds of other Valks. Tons of fun.

Did one poker run with a bunch of local Harley guys. Valk is made in America so I didn't catch much flak. They rode from bar to bar hitting every small town within a couple surrounding counties. Won't be doing that again, too much excitement for me. Seeing dead riders laying in the road isn't that big of a deal for me but I've no desire to actually witness them die.

I personally knew two outlaw bikers. One was killed on his bike. The other moved out west. Both were unrepentant bad dudes.

The guy who was killed on his bike was actually a nice guy and dated my sister for a spell when we were kids. The other guy was a huge man must have been near 7’ tall and a few hundred pounds of muscle, his name was “tiny”.

I knew a few. A good buddie had a MC parts store. He also was a agent for a very good chrome outfit. That brought in all sorts of people. Some where gang affiliated but they were peaceful and did not try to intimidate my friend or his partner.

One in particular was a super good painter and pin stripper and many times he would trade his talent for parts or chrome items he needed. He could not paint a wall till he loaded up on his favorite pharmaceuticals and at that point his work was outstanding.

Out on a date one night looking for a place to park and make out with a female. Was navigating my way down a wooded trail to a clearing on a hill that I found hunting. Came up on a bunch of parked cars blocking the trail, place looked like a parking lot. WTF? A bunch of people already had dibs on the clearing with a big bonfire going.

No place to turn around and a group of guys was already close approaching. Turned the car off and got out to say hi, nothing else to do. Turned out to be the Devils Disciples MC having a party. Was a bit in shock and worried for my date but broke out a twelve pack of Budweiser and passed them around causing everyone to be very friendly. Shagged ass after one beer but holy hell that could have turned out so much worse

I went to high school with several guys that eventually became Pagan members - that was in 1969 and they're still around and riding in Norfolk.
