I had the same problem with a Haier unit after a Hurricane one year. So much water collected that it was coming out where the cold air does. It was mounted properly and at an angle, just crappy design. I dumped and blew it out with compressed air then drilled a few small drain holes. It was fine after that.

Mine only does it in the summer when it starts getting humid. It didn't do it since last summer till this past week.

Did you set the level of window air conditioner correctly? If it correct should drain outside. www.thegoodgears.com

The drain is clogged up. Clean it out with some compressed air. Just make sure you blow the debris outside, not back inside the unit or it will clog again.
