I enjoy Bluegrass music....there is an annual festival about 50 miles south of me......which I have never attended (not sure why). It is a big event, that brings musicians from all over the US (and some from overseas). (The Walnut Valley Festival - Winfield, KS)

I discovered this artist last year on Austin City Limits. The instrument she is playing is a Mandocello. Sort of a large Mandolin. Check her out on YouTube. Lots of good stuff. This song is an instrumental, but she is also a very good singer.

LOVE Bluegrass music, and used to hang out at the Redfox Tavern where the Seldom Scene got their start in Bethesda Md. across from some TV shops I worked at.....I met Aldridge and the whole crew.....Duffy was a son of some opra? singer......early 70's......Bluegrass is one of my favorite music groups.....along with Jazz and Blues.....

I went to a festival earlier this year in Dahlonega, GA. Hundreds of musicians just hanging out downtown. They would form up into little groups and play Bluegrass tunes. A few YT episodes - search 'Bear on the Square'. It was great! I hope to go back next year. I can sit and listen to it all day...and did!
