Default ATM cash limit
Wells Fargo limits me to $300 per transaction. Might be per day too. Never asked. When I need more than $300 I just go inside.

This has never been an issue but with the subs on my current project it's been coming up more and more.

What's your bank limit you to if you don't mind sharing?

The norm here in this province is $1k and $3k.
You have to ask for anything higher than that.

CIBC Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce

I have heard some banks ask customers sign waivers if they go any higher than the banks limits to release the bank of any liability. I don't know if it's really true or not.

We may have a higher limit here also because we have something called EFT or EMT. Email Money Transfer. I can email anyone with a Canadian bank account money or vice versa. Charge is $1 to the person who is the sender.

We only have two ATM machines on the island, they will both let you get out 20,000 peso a day, but the one only lets you take out 10,000 at as time and charges you 12 peso each time.

The other only lets you take out 5000 at a time and charges 38 peso each withdraw.

Obviously they just want to charge more for fees.

(20,000 is about $465 USD)
