I will admit that a woman who has nice feet and wears sandals or heels is worth a look.
But I’m not into the sexual foot fetish thing.

Big toe is purple but it looks like I may not lose the nail.
Thanks for asking.

Beyond excited.

Interior /doors/hood install steering column only
MAJOR stuff left. Of course “interior” includes console and electrical trouble shooting.

So much closer!

Aren’t you restoring a TA?

Restoring is a term I probably wouldn't use at this point in the cycle. I haven't touched anything on it in over a year. Need to get it going. The plan is a pro-touring build. I want it to look something like this, but without the gold trim or bird...blasphemous, I know lol.

Holy 💩 🤩😍

This is the part of resto I really enjoy.

The before and after are hard to believe. OCD came in clutch on this project. I don’t know mechanical stuff but I can be crafty and make stuff pretty and shine.

Soldering iron to make holes in carpet, scalpel to fine tune, spray dye to redo metal rounds and buffed metal with 4-O steel wool for hours!

My first car was a 1982 Riccaro Trans Am.

Loved that car. Looked like the kit car: black and gold. It would move too!

Not looking forward to the console install so fiddle farting with the rear carpet.

Not sure this is any better!

Heat gun was 😱 and not working fit to thick backing on carpet kit. Steamer works better. Long way to go.

A damp towel and a heating pad can help slow cook into shape a bit of weight can give you a break.

Been working in back carpet area a few hours at night. Making slow progress. The wrinkles are driving me nuts. We tried everything. Hoping that it will settle some over time.

Even tried iron with wet towel, helped some but….

We may be being a little OCD.

Thanks all.

It’s been a process.

I was very pleased with the 3 door compartment, think my expectations of the carpet were too much.

Is it CCA carpeting?

That's what I used in my '85. CCA says they have the original dies from GM,
and they also molded the sets.
Had that car for 20 years & 6k miles, and the wrinkles never went away.
I kept that car garaged, so the carpeting never really got a chance to bake,
shrink, or fade in the sunlight.

I have CCA in my '76 also, and I have bad wrinkling in the back compartment. Doubt that will ever straighten out too.

ACC.

From the reading I did recently, there were issues with their molds until sometime around 2017. I suspect that mine fall into that category as I purchased them way back then; when the car left for NC.

Of course another factor is they have been in a box all that time.

Looks 100 times better than what I started with. The carpet was beyond disgusting. 🤮

Smells good too. My car now has that “ new car smell”👃 😝
