Thank you, kind sir! I do prepare a wide variety of food at my house. I've developed some combinations over the years that people love. Try this:

Lemony Maple Sweet Potatoes

Ingredients needed:

2 lbs. sweet potatoes, peeled and cut into 1" x 2" chunks
1 tbsp. olive oil
1/2 tsp. kosher salt
1/8 tsp. ground black pepper
2 tbsp. maple syrup
2 tbsp. lemon juice

Steps:

1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
2. Toss sweet potatoes with olive oil, salt and pepper in a large glass baking dish.
3. Cook until almost tender, 25 to 30 minutes.
4. Whisk syrup and lemon juice in a small bowl.
5. Remove the potatoes from the oven and drizzle 1/2 maple-lemon mixture over potatoes.
6. Stir gently, return to oven, and bake an additional 10 to 15 minutes, or until potatoes are tender and golden brown.
7. Remove from oven, drizzle with remaining maple-lemon mixture and serve.

I'm serious..

I don't always comment but read some of these food threads with a wee bit of jealousy..

Lot of the foods you guys talk about are either unavailable here, or no one here at my place would have a clue how to make them.
(I'm certainly not a cook)

But I do admit we get some pretty good tasty dishes here sometimes that are local style and I have learned to really appreciate.

One thing I have to brag on a bit that we have been doing lately is buying fresh, young, live, chickens.

We do not feed them long as they are about a 1 kilo size each when we get them, we only feed them to keep them alive until the days that we cook them.

Tender and Juicy..

Which of these can't you get?:

2 lbs. sweet potatoes, peeled and cut into 1" x 2" chunks
1 tbsp. olive oil
1/2 tsp. kosher salt
1/8 tsp. ground black pepper
2 tbsp. maple syrup
2 tbsp. lemon juice

Try this one, folks:

Grilled Green Beans

Ingredients
8 oz green beans
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
1 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp kosher salt (optional)
pepper to taste
parmesan cheese

Directions
1. Mix all ingredients except the Parmesan cheese in a large Ziploc bag. Let flavors marinate for 10 minutes or so.

2. Put on a grill over medium heat, turning frequently until crisp tender. About 10 minutes. (Use one of those special grill skillets or a cast iron skillet if you are worried about losing beans through the cracks.)

3. Remove beans from heat, sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Easy!
