Later generations take pop/rock music and concerts for granted, but they DIDN'T EXIST BEFORE US. Take the knee and THANK US.

We also introduced marijuana to young people! A mixed blessing some would say, and of course open to abuse, but this and the revolutionary psychedelics like LSD changed the world too. Now mind-expanding drug use is part of western culture - for better of for worse.

We also started the Environmental Movement, and it was a healthy movement, which today has been hijacked by climate extremists & idiots like the Swedish Doom Goblin.

Nevertheless, it is authentic at heart. Nobody cared much before we started Greenpeace, Save The Whales, World Wildlife Fund, plus all the alternative energy systems such as wind & solar, and living off-grid, that are semi-mainstream today.

And then there is the alternative religion aspect. It was in the Sixties that Masters from the East came to the West for the first time, because we were the first generation with a spiritual thirst that our traditional spirituality may not have satisfied. Today yoga and meditation are everywhere, but we were the pioneers.

As for the hippies and their sloppy irresponsibilty raising sloppy kids and being responsible for "today's ills", I'll not argue with that, but the hippies were a minority anyway, and I wonder how much they bear the blame. Personally I blame the Left, who were a force in their own right, predated the hippies, and have long outlasted them.

Baby-boomer and proud.

No doubt. The only time I hear the word, it's always a 20-45 year old saying it, and that generation of Participation Trophy kids never learned to grow the fuck up. Everything is about their hurt feelings, sensitivity, and victimhood. They are indeed a bunch of whiners.

I reminded myself not to judge a book by its cover. And boy am I glad I didn’t.
This man is outstanding once I got to know him a bit. Father of 5 with 4 boys and he’s having no part of the woke bullchit. He said his oldest son is 9 and already asking about trans and gays etc. and Terrell (the new man) said he set that crap straight from the jump. And he’s not having his kids play the victim or the race card. He said that he’s teaching his kids that the slavery and race crap is all a lie to help the political class.

The good news is it’s not the school pushing this garbage, our schools don’t play that chit. The kids are inundated with it on social media and internet.

Terrell also said that Biden is a fool. And he voted for Obama the 1st time admittedly because he is black but was so disappointed with the magic negro (Terrell’s words) that he didn’t vote for him again in 2012.
Not a fan of Trumps mouth and didn’t vote for him or anyone since 2008 but he and most of his family & friends will be voting for Trump this time.

A good conservative Christian young man who will make it in this world.
Gives me some hope for society and mankind.

I actually did that to my son once. This was after years of YMCA swim lessons, swimming in lakes and at the beach. He was maybe 8 years old, and I pushed him into our neighborhood pool when he was not expecting. He came out, pissed, 'Why did you do that!?' My answer: "so you will know what to do if someone else does it to you."

There's a guy here who is 1/2 Scots and 1/2 Mexican and works for one of larger the local contractors as a superintendent. I'd guess he's about 35 to 40. Wears a "work kilt" three seasons of the year. Long scraggly hair, unkempt beard. No obvious tats. He's very much into his Scottish culture (its a thing around here), as well as his Mexican. I only met him briefly with some friends who know him a lot better. He presented himself well, and I'm told is an excellent contractor.
