Why would the Marine want to risk jail and a lawsuit for launching a counter attack on this kid in defense of the teacher? And then there's the fact that the kid might very well overpower the Marine if the Marine's first action didn't actually hurt the kid bad enough to stop him from being a threat. And if the Marine actually had hit the kid hard enough to actually knock him out and stop the attack, that would have been heavily criticized, scrutinized, and I guarantee Brandon's DoJ would be pressing federal charges, in addition to drumming him out of the USMC.
