nope. They do.
My Mom is a nurse at WIC, she hears them all.
She gets yelled from time to time for incorrect pronounciations.

one from recent memory (I was present for this one)
girls name is spelled Syfeyere
My mom called her "Sif-ear-e"
the mom, angrily, corrected her to "Saphirre"

She's also had her share of Lexus, Porscha, Mercedes, Shiniqua, etc.
