BRII...Need Karaoke Machine...anyone???

It looks like we'll be adding a Karaoke evening to the BRII schedule.

The preference is to do this at the hotel. We took into consideration requests that we not have off-site events planned for the evening hours, so that we can enjoy parking lot shenanigans together. (The exception being the Steak-off, of course.) Also, if we host Karaoke at the hotel, we don't have to worry about designated drivers to/from the Karaoke bar/lounge.

Having said that, is there anyone that has a portable Karaoke machine that they would be willing to bring with them for use? Pretty please?

Sent an email to Joy at Hampton. I think Michael is still on vacation. Was thinking something small scale, low cost. Not sure how they will feel (or their other guests) about a big huge setup.

Yeah, a good host would read the requirement and plan accordingly!

Just someone to setup the songs and keep the balances would be great! Generally, a single tv/monitor for the singer to see the words, a couple of decent speakers on stands, and the control console/mixer/amp is all that is needed for such a small venue. MUCH better than a store-bought home machine though. Those are usually underpowered and a very limited songlist contained.

I'd pony up a few bucks for a decent KJ to come in and entertain us for a few hours! I generally tip a good host anyway, so it's not that much more.

Joy at Hampton has a karaoke machine connection. It's not gonna be a whole big DJ setup, just a small machine. But it'll be available for everyone to have fun with and won't be disruptive to the other guests at 1:00 AM.
