I'll admit I was skeptical about Kenneth Branagh directing Thor. he is a great director, but I couldn't see why he would want to. Branagh is the guy that does the Shakespeare adaptations.
In retrospect, that theatrical mentality is what Thor needed, for it to work. |

It did a fairly decent job of keeping up with Norse mythology and Marvel's spin on it as well.
