And yes, I fear we may be too late. I hope not, but I do fear so. There certainly won't be a peaceful solution to the problem--perhaps another Civil War of sorts, not necessarily paid for in blood like the first, but painful nonetheless.

US is going to end up divided into multiple different countries as I see it. People will go to the countries which reflect their polarized political desires.

I'm not entirely sure if this will happen in my lifetime (in my 30's) or not.

I could see if they wanted to attend because it is known for a good education. BUT if they do attend they should STFU and deal with it as is.

Either that or start their own university before/after they are done there.

I say if they want their religious crap so much, send them over to some POS Arab country and let them get their education and religious dogma there.

That's exactly what I envision--a division. I don't think it will be bloody like it was 150 years ago, but it will be difficult. I'm in my 30s too, I hope not to see it in my lifetime.

If, and this is a big if, Texas does ever secede, it will take other states with it. And that could get ugly and bloody.

One of the first religion courses mandated explored various religious beliefs. There is a chapel on the campus but it is not mandated that students must attend service. It is primarily there for the nuns to use.

I agree with you, I was stating that not all Catholic universities force Catholicism down students throats. IF the muslim students wanted a catholic education then perhaps they should read the mission statement of the university and find one that is big into diversity. Not force one that is not to conform to a handful of students.

Maybe I missed something, but after reading (and re-reading) the article it appears that John Banzhaf, the GWU law professor, filed the suit on his own without input from the Muslim students.

If so, it could be truly said that he has an idiot for a client. The court should immediately through the suit out as he has no standing (what harm is "he" experiencing).

This is almost as insane as the case of the District Administrative Law Judge who was suing a dry cleaning establishment for $74M (yeah, million) for losing the pants to his suit. Thankfully, that case was dismissed with prejudice (meaning that it cannot be re-introduced into the court system).
