Default Damage from door magnet - HELP!

I have my own business and use magnetic car door signs on my Suburban as advertising. I've used them for over a year, am very careful and never had any problems before.

However, last week we got some rain. When I took the magnets off the doors yesterday one of them have some spots that look like moisture got between the magnet and the door. It's not residue, it looks more like damage to the paint.

Can somebody walk me thru a fix for this?

Start off with a very mild polishing compound. I have used Crest toothpast (the original kind that is a bit gritty). If that doesn't work, get some paint cleaner like:

MeguiarsDirect.com: Deep Crystal® System Paint Cleaner

You should be able to find it at Auto Zone, Pep Boys. etc, what ever is near you.

Use a wash cloth, or something made of terry cloth. Put a drop on the cloth and rub the areas using a circular motion. The cleaner or tooothpaste will not scratch the finish. If those do not clear up the spot, you will need to go to a polishing compound. Picture would be helpful if these solutions don't work.
